Intrusive thoughts are unwanted, distressing thoughts or images that seem to pop into your mind out of nowhere. They can be confusing, upsetting, and often go against your values—but here’s the truth: having intrusive thoughts does not mean something is wrong with you.
Everyone has them from time to time. What matters is how we respond:
✨ Acknowledge the thought without judgment
✨ Remind yourself: “A thought is just a thought—not a fact”
✨ Practice grounding or mindfulness techniques
✨Talk to a therapist if they become overwhelming
